Work
Outside the pool, I work as a Data & Integration Specialist at NSVA. Water at work, water at training. You could say I’m staying in my element.
Hi, and welcome. I am glad you found your way here. This is a little more about who I am, what drives me, and the person behind the swimmer.

Curiosity is one of my strongest drivers. I am curious about how far I can develop, what is possible, and what happens when you keep going a little longer than you first thought you could. I am disciplined, creative, and solution-oriented, qualities that have followed me both in sport and in my professional life.
My love for swimming comes from the community and from the process. From the feeling of pushing body and mind to levels I once did not think were possible. There is something special about putting in months of work to take off a few hundredths of a second, and even more special when it finally happens.
I also understood the reality of the sport quite early. In Sweden, very few swimmers can make a living from swimming alone, and that was one of the reasons I went to the United States and Georgia Tech. There I had the chance to combine high-level academics with elite sport, which suited me very well. Those years were demanding academically and athletically, but they shaped me a great deal. I learned structure, responsibility, and what it takes to perform over time.
Today I am back in Helsingborg, pursuing the highest international level while working part-time as a Data & Integration Specialist at NSVA. There, I work with data and integrations in an organisation that looks after our water. I get to be creative, solve problems, and keep developing in a way that complements swimming really well.
Combining elite sport and work is demanding. Some days include morning training, work, and another session in the afternoon, while still trying to make room for recovery and life around it. But it also gives me balance and perspective. It reminds me that life is not only sport, and it helps me be more present and focused when I train.
Even with unlimited resources, I would probably still keep working. I need an outlet for my creativity and problem-solving. I also think swimming would wear me down faster if it were the only thing I had. Now I can lean on work when sport feels heavy, and the other way around.
What still drives me most is curiosity. How far can I take this pursuit? What is possible if I keep investing time and energy? To me, success is not only about results. It is also about enjoying the journey, having fun, and feeling proud of the person I become along the way.
And maybe most importantly, the sport has already given me something incredibly valuable: friends for life.

When I have time left over, I like to get outside with a camera, preferably in nature. There is something special about climbing a mountain and then capturing the moment at the top.
